Like a child craving for something that’s been lacking in me for the past week, I spend my Saturday afternoon in front of the computer. No one can take me away from my spot I thought, until Dad handed me a mail.
Surprise…surprise! I opened it. And inside is a laminated card with my picture on it. It was my Employment Authorization Card! Instantly I left my seat, dashed to the living room and told Mom and Dad the great news. It was so unbelievable for me. And for them, it was very exciting.
The feeling of disbelief is just a natural feeling. What I have on my hand is not just an ordinary card. It signifies something greater…deeper. This card comes with a challenge. I have been here in the United States for almost ten months now. This is the place that I want to be. The country I am destined to grow. With this card, I feel like I am finally part of a big circle, and that I can finally give myself to the society, and in turn it will recognize me.
The responsibility is glowing at it’s brightest at a distance, and I have to grab it with the aid of my strength and confidence. Now, I can compete with the stream-line of professionals and hopefully be able to cope with the challenges in store before me. I am like a cub bold and daring to join the feast in the jungle. I can’t wait to have my piece in the feast. I was craving….as I am hungry. I can’t wait to have my own fill.

Hi rorie! Its me arvin, im impressed with your site. You must have worked hard on it. At any rate, you do good in job hunting. You have many doors to open and choose from, i know your capacity. Brilliant woman and very motivated one! Not to count, i haven’t finished any degree as of yet but i forced myself to survive and i am here still alive. Before, i doubted if what job awaits me.
